Getting the Season Off on the Right Book... The migratory pattern of school kids in my neighborhood has begun anew. Those spanking new back-to-school shoes sported by the kids who cut through my backyard to the bus stop have begun to leave their mark on my late-summer grass ...to be followed soon enough by a trail through fallen leaves, and a footstep path through frost and snow.
