On Thursday evening, January 26th, more than one hundred people gathered at Innis Arden Golf Club for a Literary Matters event featuring the renowned writer and historian, Robert K. Massie. Massie, a Pulitzer Prize author, spoke about his newest biography, CATHERINE THE GREAT. His anecdotes were so charming and so interesting; the entire audience was instantly captivated. Following his talk, Massie very graciously answered questions from the audience.
The next Literary Matters event will be a luncheon on Thursday, May 3rd, to celebrate the publication of LOTS OF CANDLES, PLENTY OF CAKE, a new book of essays by Anna Quindlen. This book will be the partner to Quindlen's beloved and much discussed columns, "Life in the '30's," in the New York Times. Quindlen, no longer in her her thirties, tackles the joys and tribulations of "becoming an age." Make sure that you're subscribed to Literary Matters so that you'll hear from us about all of our events.
