Quick... Celebrate Roald Dahl!
Do you ever walk down the street and see someone who looks just like a character out of a Roald Dahl book? There is a woman at the gym who is a dead ringer for Aunt Sponge from JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH (except she's in much better shape.) I know I stare, but the likeness is bizarre. Truly.

Needless to say, I was thrilled to be reminded today that we have one more day to celebrate Roald Dahl month. (Mr. Dahl's birthday on 9/13 makes September HIS month, officially. Sorry, Dad.) So, in anticipaton of the November 2009 release of The Fantastic Mr Fox (with fellow fox George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson... woah), get yourself in a Dahl state of mind... BUY A BOOK! I loved BOY (Dahl autobio for teens/adults), The BFG (younger kids) and MATILDA (older kids)... but you really can't go wrong.
